Discover the best of the Colombian Amazon in just 4 days—local culture, wildlife, kayaking, and night walks in the rainforest. Based in Puerto Nariño, a peaceful and eco-friendly town on the banks of the Amazon River, this experience offers authentic encounters with indigenous communities and breathtaking nature.
Day 1 – Welcome to the Heart of the Amazon
We’ll pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Leticia to begin the journey to Puerto Nariño. After a scenic public boat ride on the majestic Amazon River, you’ll arrive at this eco-friendly town, where our local team will greet you. We’ll explore the village on foot and visit either the Natutama or Wochine center, both dedicated to conservation and local culture. After lunch, we’ll head to the Tarapoto Lakes in search of pink river dolphins. Depending on the season, you can enjoy artisanal fishing and a lake swim (during high-water season), or walk along Amazonian beaches (in the dry season), with dolphin sightings possible. We’ll end the day with a traditional dinner.
Day 2 – A Meeting of Cultures and Ecosystems
After breakfast, we’ll cross the river to San Antonio, a nearby Peruvian community, to admire the impressive Victoria Regia water lilies and explore the lowland rainforest—where you might spot sloths if you’re lucky. After lunch, enjoy a peaceful and unique kayaking experience, gliding through calm waters surrounded by jungle and wildlife. We’ll close the day with a comforting local dinner.
Day 3 – Nature, Relaxation, and a Nighttime Adventure
We’ll start the morning with a guided nature walk through forest trails to connect with the region’s biodiversity. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to rest, explore the village at your own pace, or simply relax and enjoy the view. After dark, we’ll venture out on a guided night walk to discover the sounds and creatures of the jungle under the stars.
Day 4 – Leaving with the Amazon in Your Heart
After breakfast, we’ll begin the return trip by boat to Leticia—carrying with you the memory of a genuine, immersive, and transformative experience in the heart of the Amazon.
